IT'S ALL ABOUT YOU. . .
NT Council of Social Service Survey

The NT Council of Social Service (NT COSS) is carrying out a survey. It's about understanding the recruitment, retention and staff development issues across the Community Sector in the NT, and they want to hear from YOU!

The purpose of the survey is to find out what needs to be done to recruit and retrain people who work in the non-government social and community services sector, and what workers in the sector feel about their work.

This research is being conducted because of the need to build a highly skilled workforce to better serve the needs of the disadvantaged people who use the service.

The survey is available by clicking here>> Please take a few minutes to complete and send to:

HSTAC @ 2007 CAREERS EXPO

HSTAC was represented at the 2007 Careers Expos in Alice Springs, Nhulunbuy and Katherine. As always they were extremely successful, enjoyable, well attended and, without exception, the students were a delight.

This year our theme was 'JOBS THAT MATTER - Careers That Support People with a Disability'.

For the past three years HSTAC has prepared a theme related quiz and has found it a very successful way to engage and interest students. This year was no exception, with the quiz entitled 'Dispelling Disability Myths'. Not only students but teachers and parents as well were keen to be involved, resulting in HSTAC's stalls buzzing with activity most of the time, as these photos taken by Debra Bennett from CHARTTES show.
