'LIVIN IN A HOUSE' CD GOES DOWN IN HISTORY!Mark Grose of Skinnyfish Music has a friend who works out bush from time to time, and she told Mark this story.A local school teacher recently visited a rock art site with some traditional owners, as they were marvelling at the ancient paintings, the teacher looked down and there, written on a rock, was an entire verse of the 'Livin in a House' song - recorded in stone for future generations! She said the kids at the school absolutely love it. New Health Training Package CD ROM
Home & Community Care English Language & Literacy - WELL (Workplace English Language & Literacy) ResourceFunded by the Department of Education, Science & Training (DEST) through WELL Strategy and Resource funding, the Home and Community Care (HACC) 'Orientation Made Easy!' Resource Kit was designed and developed focusing on orientation/induction programs for the HACC sector. The area of Occupational Health and Safety presents this sector with challenges for new and existing workers, especially home and community care workers who are from a Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) background, and the resource kit is designed for trainers to address this through integrating Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) into their training and assessment methodologies. Easily customised for new and existing workers in Aged Care, Disability and other appropriate community services qualifications, the resource kit has been designed to be adaptable for both accredited and non-accredited training, and used for orientation programs with the need to specifically address language and literacy issues.
