LAUNCH OF 'RIGHT ON THE GROUND'On Wednesday 7 September HSTAC's 'Right on the Ground' CD ROM was launched at Parliament House by the Honourable Syd Stirling MLA, Minister for Employment, Education and Training.The CD was developed to assist Registered Training Organisations and employers with the implementation and management of apprenticeships in Indigenous Environmental Health Work. If you would like a complimentary copy of the 'Right on the Ground' CD, please email your request to m.bailey@hstac.com.au AMBULANCE AND FIRST AID VALIDATION WORKSHOPSThe Community Services and Health Industry Skills Council (CSHISC) will be holding validation workshops in Darwin for the review of the Health Training Package. A workshop to consider the First Aid content will be held on Tuesday 27 September 2005 from 9am - 12 midday. The workshop to consider the Ambulance qualifications will be held on Wedesday 28 September 2005 from 1pm - 4pm. The venue is: Nemarluk Room, Mirambeena Resort, 64 Cavenagh Street, Darwin. At the same time, Tennant was celebrating Desert Harmony Week with a parade through the streets to the Cultural Centre (see photos). The next day he met with the new Open Employment Service, a service which assists people with a disability, and the agencies which support them, to access training and employment.
