'SUICIDE ASSESSMENT & INTERVENTION: MEN AT RISK' - eLEARNING TOOLThis is a valuable training resource for teachers of specific units within the (CHC02) Community Services Training Package, and other training packages. It is appropriate to be used in several core units and elective units in nationally recognised qualifications. The tool is acknowledged as an important resource in the assessment of risk of suicide and intervention strategies and is endorsed by a range of agencies and initiatives. HEALTH TRAINING PACKAGE HLT02 REVIEWThe training package is at Draft 2 Validation Stage of the Health Training Package Review and is now available for review and feedback until Monday 24 April 2006. As part of the validation process, Draft 2 Validation Focus Group Sessions will be held for targeted sectors and for the Enrolled Nursing Sector in each state and territory. The aim of these sessions is to gather feedback on key aspects of qualifications and units of competency to enable the third draft to accurately represent work roles and to provide stakeholders with information and skills they may need to provide future feedback relevant to the development of Draft 3. The Enrolled Nursing Validation Focus Group Session will be held in Darwin on Monday 3 April 2006 from 9.30am-12.30pm. TRIAL CLINIC FOR YOUTH!The Family Planning Welfare Association of NT is conducting a youth clinic for the 25 years and under age group from 8-29 March 2006. The clinic will target young people who are eager to book appointments with a sexual and reproductive health doctor or nurse. In line with Family Planning's very busy drop-in Saturday Youth Clinic, this trial clinic will allow young people who have Wednesday afternoons free to book appointments rather than walk in and wait on Saturday mornings.
