'STAND UP' MULTI MEDIA TRAINING RESOURCE'The Stand Up' training resource which supports the delivery of the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, has been distributed to Registered Training Organisations in all states and territories. People receiving the resource have undertaken to conduct trials and report back to HSTAC with comments and recommendations. At this stage, there are no further copies of the resource available. However, following feedback from the trialling process, HSTAC will determine if there will be a further production run, which will be sold for cost recovery. WATCH THIS SPACE. 'THE COOL CONSUMER' IS VERY COOL 'The Cool Consumer' Series 2 youth newsletter, published by Consumer and Business Affairs, is now available due to public demand. The newsletter covers important and topical issues such as tenancy, mobile phone contracts and buying a used car as well as lifestyle tips on shopping, interest free loans and credit card debt. Other free publications available from Consumer Affairs are 'Tenants and Landlords', 'Warranties & Refunds', 'The Little Black Book of Scams' and 'Safe Toys for Kids'. Consumer Affairs is committed to increasing consumer rights awareness among young people and encourage young Territorians to understand their rights as consumers. 'The Cool Customer' will be distributed to schools in February 2007 and will be used as part of their financial literacy program.
