The awards recognise and honour high achievers in the vocational education and training (VET) sector, which plays an important role in the Northern Territory's ongoing economic growth through the training and skilling of Territorians. The Hum @ HSTAC 2009 NT Careers Expos HSTAC will have a presence at every Careers Expo in the Territory in August, and NT Youth Affairs Network (NTYAN) Project Officer Morgan Sabbith will be present in each regional centre. NTYAN provides a mechanism for youth service providers to participate in network activities and share information about youth affairs. NTYAN is responsible for coordinating network activities for all NT jurisdictions and for collecting, managing and sharing data and other relevant information. Morgan will be meeting with youth workers, organisations and service providers to give an update on NTYAN, to collect nominations for the NTYAN subcommittee and to exchange information on youth issues.
