Opening or Downloading files
- Opening MS Word documents or PowerPoint files from the links.
When you click on a link to a Microsoft Word document or a PowerPoint file one of 3 things may happen:
- Microsoft Word or PowerPoint will launch and open the file in a new web page, or
- the file will download and be saved automatically on your computer. Where it saves will depend on the folder you have set up in preferences or options of the browser you are using. This is sometimes set to save in a folder called 'My Documents' or 'Downloads', or
- a dialogue box will launch asking you what you want to do with the file. You can save the file or open it in a program on your computer.
- Opening PDF files
You will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer to open pdf files. Here is the link to the Adobe website: www.adobe.com Follow the instructions on their website for downloading and installing the software.
Playing the music file
To listen to the music Gurrumul History written and performed by Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu click on this link Gurrumul History. You will need a computer that has sound capability and has Quicktime, Windows Media Player or similar loaded.
