Children's Services Home Page

In this part of the guide, you will see some key documents in the assessment process.

These are:

Example of a unit of competency in children's services. The unit is called CHCFC1A Support the development of children in the service and is a core unit for the Certificate III in Community Services (Children's Services).

Example assessment form. The assessment form has been designed so that it may be used by both the assessee and the assessor. The assessee can use it to carry out a self assessment, using the columns provided. The assessor can use it to record the results of the assessment and any relevant comments. The example has been completed for the unit 'CHCFC1A Support the development of children in the service'. It is a word processing document that you download from the website and open using either Microsoft Word or another word processing software program. There is also a blank form for assessment plus instructions on how to complete it for a unit of competency.

Example of a children's services qualification credential. This is what an assessee receives after being assessed as competent in all the units of competency required for the qualification. Qualifications are issued by Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).

Example of a children's services statement of attainment credential. This is what you get when you are assessed as competent in some units of competency. Statements of attainment are issued by Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).
